Each project being unique, all our Rotary Distributors are made to order, to meet each project’s requirements.
ROTARY DISTRIBUTORS AND TRICKLING FILTER WITH variable flow
To handle a minimum flow, average flow and a maximum flow, the Rotary Distributor can be designed to handle variable flows. Indeed, the flow during the day time can be much higher than the flow during the night time. The flow can also vary during the touristic season in some areas.
When the flow varies, the trickling filter automatically switching from feeding 2 arms or 4 arms.
FEEDING FROM THE BOTTOM OR THE TOP
In some cases, the flow can arrive into the Rotary Distributor from the top of the trickling filter. In rare cases, the flow can even arrive from both ends, the bottom as well as the top.
Our Rotary Distributors can be designed for both situations, either with a top flange, either with a bottom flange.
When the feed comes from the top, we supply the trickling filter<:strong> with a stainless steel beam, to which the distributor will be suspended.
Trickling filter with or without motor
Our Rotary Distributor can be motorized, in order for the rotation speed to be set as will. Some projects required a specific Sk ratio, a motorized rotary distributor is then ideal.
Even if the trickling filter is motorized, thanks to a system designed in-house, our Rotary Distributors can automatically disengage to rotation under reaction drive. In case or motor failure or power failure, the treatment continues until the trickling filter is repaired or the power is turned back ON.
CONSISTENT DISTRIBUTION OF TRICKLING FILTER
It is essential the most consistent water distribution over the media. As such, each distribution opening is set at a very specific location, to ensure that the entire surface of the media is covered by the flow.
Even when the flow varies, and the Rotary Distributor switches from 2 arms to 4 arms, the distribution over the trickling filter and over the media is ensured by the specific design of each arms.
To further optimize the distribution, stainless steel deflectors can be added to spread the flow over the media.

Each Rotary Distributor is unique, taking into consideration the tank diameter, the type of media, the hydraulics, and so on.
FB Procédés designs each Rotary Distributor using the latest 3D softwares and doing extensive calculations to ensure that the hydraulic specifications of each project are considered.
